Instructions for Mask
PLEASE NOTE : to ensure a good fit, copy and export the file to SVG and print on card at 100%. Cut out and check fitting, you can enlarge the mask, make it smaller or alter the position of the eye holes. Note any necessary adjustments and alter your DRAW file accordingly.
Materials needed
Fabric, scissors, stabilizer (preferably something that you won't have to cut, like a soluble one) or a plastic freezer bag. NB: If using a freezer bag, you will need to make sure the outline is a substantial satin stitch: threads, decorations to suit, glue, stiff card,) wooden skewers and drinking straws, sticky tape(opt)._)
Steps
1) Hoop your stabilizer or bag.
2) Sew out design
3) Tear away or dissolve stabilizer
4) Cut out a card template and stick to the back. Allow drying time. Add any other decorations, such as beads, feathers, sequins and rhinestones.
5) If using, put some skewers inside drinking straw and tape ends.
6) Tape handle to side of mask.
7) Alternatively, if willing to risk an old pair of glasses, use temporary adhesive and stick mask on to lenses!
TIP: If you want a slightly curved mask, curve it around a big coffee can or similar while drying. You can use masking tape to keep it in place while it dries.
FOR THOSE WITH v6 PROFESSIONAL : Although I don't have that version, I understand that you can send files to a cutter and also make a rhinestone pattern to fit - you lucky people!
